Compare C&C 3/4 T with later 33 footer88 viewsAfter the initial production run of CC33 in 1975, this ocean going 3/4T designed by Rob Ball was modified to make it more suitable for hanging out at the club. The result was that deck space was sacrificed for more interior volume. The cockpit seating area which on the 1974/5 3/4T could seat 8 to 10 people due to the flush deck with no cockpit coaming, was reduced to barely enough room for 4 on the newer 33. The mast was moved forward a foot which means that the boat is no longer balanced with just the genoa up (I did away with the main on the 3/4T). The nice open Qberths on the 3/4T were changed. There are four good sea berths on the 3/4T which all are parallel to the centerline so that your head stays at the same level as your feet when the boat is heeled, and they are centered away from the ends for more comfort in a seaway.Jul 15, 2010
